Moving to Seattle, how different is the driving in Seattle as compared to NJ. Do you need to give driving test online and practical to apply for license. How is the driving license application process? TC: 130k Yoe: 4
Oh man, I don't think you survive here. You know that these two places are on two different countries. We drive on the left side of street. Red light means go and green means stop. Pedestrians walk on street, cars drive on side walk. Good luck!
That explains bad traffic around Amazon campus. Things are pretty normal here on the east side.
@gdd4 did not know Amazon changes ur life so much. Take some rest u need it.
Same shit different barrel. Not really different other than constantly having to drive in the rain. Drivers will be nicer too - you may get a little shock.
Thanks good to know. Any idea about transferring NJ license to Seattle one?
Just a transfer at the DMV. No retest needed.
Here let me Google that for you. Washington Department of Licensing. NJ drivers are faster and more skillful. Lots of freeways. WA drivers are low skill, scared of everything, wait for an engraved invitation to arrive before moving at a 4 way stop.
You can easily find DL transfer requirements on WA DOL website. I think you just need to present your NJ license along with two local address proofs. That said, having driven in both states, I can tell you are in for a shock. Drivers are much more courteous in Seattle area. Much population is from around the world so you will encounter some extremely slow drivers on the roads. Get used to driving in rain. :)
People in Seattle don’t follow stay right pass left. They also don’t signal with their middle finger.
With public transportation, ride share apps or biking you will be fine unless you have a family or older relatives that live with you.
Also depends of your commute
Also, no jug handles in Seattle. We just turn left.
You have to give a vision test and address proof. I got my DL after clearing the road test from Newark! Driving wise, the speeds here are lesser as it is a glorified suburb. Also the roads are more winding up down.
You need to take a special test to learn driving in rain.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
We drive a little less like assholes, here. Other than that, same-same.
