Currently interviewing with Dropbox for a non tech role. Fully remote. Anyone have any feedback on working at Dropbox? WLB, company culture, benefits, etc. Where would you rather work? Amazon or Dropbox? Thanks! TC: 130k (LCOL area) #tech
Depends on what non-tech role to be honest.

Better than Amazon
Can’t speak for non tech, I’m a SWE and I left Amazon for Dropbox, I can say it was the best decision. Wlb, culture, benefits all are great. Since it’s a smaller company than Amazon, the work is more impactful. Only downside is the stock performance.
Stock performance over the last year 17-27...
How about WLB, culture, benefits?
Please check my comment above. I literally have ZERO reasons even compare amzn with dbx n think amzn is better. I hate fully remote thing but other than that its amazing. N soon we’ll have studios so lets see.
Of course better than amazon but stock performs worse than inflation. Also they've done rounds of layoffs. Otherwise I've heard good things.
Round of layoffs, not rounds. Once ever. Companies with stack ranking and attrition goals effectively lay off more every couple of years.
Hahaha rounds of layoff 🤣🤣 One layoff since forever with almost no one from tech. stocks are getting better, but yes thats a concern for sure. I came from Amazon, so compared to Amazon TC dropbox is better any day. TC: 70~80% better even with stagnant stocks growth WLB: better than Google n Msft (don’t even want to compare with Amzn) People/Culture: better than most of the companies I have heard of n really smart people to learn from Benefits: top notch, and recently added 7k for literally anything extra (except booz) I left FB offer for DBX since TC was same but I know WLB and impactful work will pay off. So far VERY HAPPY with my decision.
