E4 at Meta or Sr. SWE at Disney Streaming
I had 2 offers, one from Disney streaming at Los Angeles and the other one from Meta but still in team match phase. I received 330k from Disney including sign-on and the location is Los Angeles. The offer from Meta is E4 and still in the team match phase. According to the recruiter from Meta, it looks like relocating to Menlo Park has the best bet to match to a team. However, I’m not sure if going for Meta is the best choice here as the offer from DSS seems strong enough and the location is Los Angeles. I Would like to hear blinders’ thoughts, very appreciated! Amazon + Meta on Resume should be really good for the future right? In case you wanna directly go for Staff+ in the future at a smaller company or raise money for a startup
Start at Disney but continue with Meta team matching. Meta offer will be toward the 400k in MPK and benefits at Meta and refresher are better as well as employer brand . E4 matching is not guaranteed there are many in the pipeline for team matching.
Thanks for the suggestion! This is my thought as well! Take the Disney offer while doing the team match at Meta. At worst the offer is valid for 1 year so I still can jump ship next year.
E4 would be more like 300-330k from levels.fyi so equal to Disney comp, but the refreshers and benefits would definitely add up

330k includes base, annual bonus, annual LTI, stocks, and sign-on.
