Last weekend went to Yosemite NP, was keeping eye on how many electric cars I can see in park. Surprisingly saw only 1 model X of Tesla no other models or other e-cars. Which is interesting to compare with number of electric cars you see in Bay Area. Feels like it might be early to have electric car, if you cannot drive for weekend trips. I know there might be charging station on the way or in the park but with no sighting makes me wonder that is the electric car only worth to drive in City or around develop cities. Trip was around ~500 miles, as I didn't get reservations in the village, stayed in Mariposa. Share your story of weekend trip with your e-car. - How much far did you go? - How did you plan to stop for Charing station? šļøšā½
You can charge a Tesla in RV parks. They should have 240v. Superchargers are plentiful too. I believe one inside the park
Tesla will plan your trip based on supercharging. Not a big deal. How many people take a 100k SUV camping is a separate matter.

When you use your Tesla's navigation, it plans the route with supercharger stops if needed. They have something like 1400 supercharger stations all over the US and shouldn't be possible to go more than 150ish miles without coming across one. Then there's all the other chargers you can use from other companies (it will just be slower), or literally any outlet.
Or you can always do what this guy did: https://www.google.com/amp/s/jalopnik.com/entitled-tesla-jackass-parks-on-strangers-lawn-steals-1836730035/amp

I urge you to think where the electricity is coming from? Clean energy is the future only when we get em without burning coal
