I have an engineering manager interview upcoming at Apple. Trying to figure out what should I focus on ? something specific ? I'd appreciate any insight or pointers. I tried asking this to the recruiter but didn't get much info. I'm assuming this will be for M1. YOE 2 years as a manager. About 10years as an engineer Location: Cupertino Thanks #apple #interview
Good luck. Great company!!
Which team? The process varies from team to team.
On the AR applications team.
If this is a software engg manager the interviews will be mixture of coding, system design, software architecture and behavioral/leadership skills. You may be meet up to 10 interviewers.
Went to an swe manager interview @ Apple a few months ago, and was a bit surreal. No coding at all, not even “traditional” management interview, it varies a LOT between different teams.
You should seriously doublecheck with recruiter that this is a manager interview. I’ve given eng interviews while the candidate thought they were in for a manager position.
Thanks for the tip. I'll reach out to the recruiter and double check
How did you interview go? Did you get offer?
What? Then you aren’t ready for Management
Thanks for the verdict. Very helpful :)
