Good article. But, lots of times recruiters have no idea of the specifics as the HMs don’t know themselves either. They are fishing for candidates and learning as they go. Realities of job search
Former leader at ebay, GameStop, Amazon. What company is he currently leading down the drain?
Lol
His job at Amazon is not done, sending reinforcements
Well yeah I am not Indian...different culture and all
From the level of your reply, I believe you not getting hired has more to do with your attitude and knowledge level
I don’t want to hear about relatability when it comes to getting a new job. I shouldn’t have to brown nose and play the extroverted game to get an interview, let alone get hired. It’s toxic outlooks on hiring like this that punish people for not having certain “desirable” personality traits and contribute to a toxic culture like what Amazon has. TC: 90K
be related to the hiring manager to increase your chances got it
What the f is "relatable" for an engineering role. None cares as long as you can leetcode and not behave like an ahole during interview. If you are applying for sales or HR, maybe that is something. But looking for a "similar" or "relatable" personality is actually opposite of achieving diversity of thought. I would rather recruit someone who is talented and not relatable.
Click bait and switch.
I want the few minutes of my life that I wasted reading this article back so I can go waste it on something else instead
The article is good if you read it till the end. I would agree with most points mentioned in the article.
