Which one should I pick? Enterprise asic or consumer system ๐
Enterprise Asic. You'll learn a lot more.
Which enterprise? ๐
FB, whatโs your TC?
400
Can you please give the breakdown?
YoE?
I joined FB recently as a hardware architect, albeit not on the ASIC side. I can definitely say FB isn't running a hobby project and they're serious about it. I like it so far, though there is the usual chaos of a new-ish project, which is to be expected when the project isn't already on a yearly cadence. I don't know much about Lab126, but I did look at Amazon enterprise and didn't even interview with them after the first stages cause I didn't like the top-down nature of decision making, but that's my preference. I've heard good things about Lab 126 overall so I'd recommend picking by the work you get to do personally
Nice! Just a question are there platform teams building DL systems for data centers? Or do they buy everything from providers!
There are two distinct hardware divisions, one for enterprise and servers, and another for customer-facing products. I'm in the latter but know they have in-house development of custom silicon for enterprise, albeit no details of what exactly that is
Ah I see! Thanks for quick reply. Anyway I can search specifically for that team?
Sorry, they don't have a distinct identity inside the enterprise infrastructure team that I know of, try looking within infrastructure teams
Fb
Can you share the offers?
Did you decide? I am waiting for the outcome of my final round at Amazon.
How did it go; how much sw questions did you get asked?
How to prepare for interviews at FB ?
Both running hobby projects .. join nvda/amd/intc.. if u really wanna build a chip
WTF. Hobby projects? You seriously have no idea.
Lmao Intel hasnโt built a chip since 2016, if FB is a hobby project intel is a kindergarten
