Facebook E4 offer Seattle
Hi all need some suggestion on Facebook offer. Received an offer from Facebook for E4 SWE for Seattle office. Details below (final offer after negotiation) Base: 160k Stock: 320k for 4 years Joining bonus: 50k TC: 240k + 50 k year 1 and 240k year 2-4 TC with 10% target bonus: 256k + 50k year 1 and 256k year 2-4 Standard Facebook benefits. Total years of experience: 4.5 Is it worth changing the job in current situation? I will require H1B transfer and premium is suspended as of now so the transfer process could take 4-5 months if I am lucky. Is that still good considering all those factors? I am waiting on offer from Google and Facebook gave a deadline for today. How are things at Facebook. Are they looking for layoffs anytime soon? I still feel Facebook can give more but not able to get more from them. I am doing pretty well at Amazon and was TT in my first year itself.
TT has 250k as well, which is the same as your FB pay if you discard bonus. There is no big difference. But it's your call. At least, you have 50k bonus for your move. But no doubt, FB has better benefits, faster level up and worse WLB.
WLB is worse than Amazon?
Well. No better than at least. It depends on the team you are and you're going to join. But Avg is the same or worse. If you care about WLB, stay or negotiate. I don't see any values to take the risk for this offer
what is TT? I would wait for the Google offer. You also can consider the free food that you are getting vs. banana at Amazon.
Amazon has rating system for annual review. LE: least effective HV: high valued TT: top tier These rating decides how much base + stock hike you will be getting during your annual review. For Google offer not sure when that's going to happen and Facebook gave deadline for today
Thanks for the explanation. From what I heard, Google is notoriusly slow in their process. You should tell them that you have an offer from FB and have deadline today.
Don’t worry, they won’t rescind the offer. Do not accept the offer and push for E4 max which is 167/400/75
Signing can’t go up to 100? New grads get that
In 2019 it could go up to 100k. Not in 2020
Don't forget to factor in Facebook's relatively high refresher grants. I have far better WLB across multiple orgs at Facebook than I've ever heard of at Amazon.

You can aim for 165k, 400k and 75k. I heard a similar E4 seattle offer.
E4 with 4.5 YOE seems Low? shouldn’t it be E5?
Was interviewed for E4 and got E4 they never considered me for E5
