Can anyone who has been through the Facebook recruitment process shed some light on the length of time it takes for a Recruiter to set you up for the actual interview with the FB hiring team? Once you go through the initial screening and the recruiter says "I will be sending the resumes over to the hiring team" - HOW long did it take to get that call ? My husband was told he'd get a call LAST Wednesday and now it's been an entire week. He emailed to ask for an update regarding next steps.....but..... no response at all. What's up with that? Facebook has opened (in Feb 2019) only TWO of the 6 Data Center buildings in Los Lunas, NM, and I'd imagine they will need Data Center Engineers on staff so they can open and operate the others. They also purchased adjacent desert land for further expansion. And the ad is still running on Indeed and LinkedIn. His skills and experience match, so.... I'm wondering why not even an email response? Does this signal NO interest? Or are FB recruiters just SLOW in response time? I'm also curious about their relo package. He had applied for a management position, did a video chat with a current FB employee who gave him lots of great info on the company, and they decided his skills and experience were better suited to the Engineer position, so that's why they sent his resume to Recruiter #2 for the Engineer position. No word from Recruiter #2. after their initial screening.
As a hiring manager, there’s no guarantee that there’s any interest. The recruiter is probably waiting for a bite from a HM. No point in relating news unless there are any.
tl;dr
For lengthy posts, it helps if they are structured and are split into paragraphs.
