It's an advertising platform that wrings pennies out of users' scrap time—attention that would otherwise go to waste Prove me wrong 👇
This has always been their business model, even more so than Google.
Prove you wrong? You just declared the sky is blue. This is not a bold take.
Yeah, and OP, to add some more examples: * Google is an ad platform masquerading as a search engine * Snap is an ad platform masquerading as a social network * LinkedIn is an ad / hiring platform masquerading as a social network * Pinterest is an ad platform masquerading as a social network The following are IMHO, let's discuss if anyone feels differently: * Hulu is an ad platform masquerading as a streaming service (look at what percentage of their revenue is ads, its higher than you might think) * Netflix is becoming an ad platform masquerading as a streaming service * Apple is becoming an ad platform masquerading as a devices company
Everything is an advertising platform disguised as something else
Wow, curious to hear your hot take on other things. Could get spicy.
So according to you, it's a: -service that charges $1000 to each user for keep using it -or it runs on charity. Zuck made a lot of money and now he runs meta as a charity Which option do you think it should be rather?
You just described every entertainment app/product in existence and think you discovered something so profound that you need somebody to prove you wrong.
There is a difference- FB claims their business builds technologies that help people connect and build community. They do none of that Yes , it is as supported just like ABC, NBC , but at least they give you entertainment, FB does not give you a social network
If you follow friends on IG or FB, or talk to family via wa then meta has help you connect with people.
Someone give this guy a Nobel prize 🏆
Pfftt everyone knows this already. Zuck said it himself. Senator, we run ads.
