Their motivation is to get rid of every independent creator. Dying industry colluding to stay relevant. Wonder what stance YouTube takes on this. Once again, everyone they don’t like or is a competition, is an agent of radicalization. First it was Alex Jones - and now they are explicitly going after Philip, Joe Rogan, Dave Rubin etc ... https://twitter.com/phillyd/status/1137389828184584197
They're going after Rogan?
Yup.
Trumps going to have to step in
If tech is going to pick and choose what to censor they need to lose their Safe Haven exemption under the communications decency act. They are becoming publishers now, they have chosen this road and deserve to bear that burden.
It really is hard to quantify the legal exposure, probably in the 10s or 100s of billions.
If an ISIS beheading video was taken off YouTube would you be mad? If not please stop bringing up "free speech" when talking about companies. This is what the free market is for. If YouTube decides it doesn't want any videos of gingers or dogs or something else random so be it. Anyone in the first world can start their own service no one is entitled to a potential audience of billions that a company has built up over a decade. Free speech also doesn't mean you get to be free of criticism. People have died and mass shootings have occurred because of basement dwellers glued to their internet tube becoming radicalized.
3 separate mass shootings of police officers were carried out by black men radicalized by BLM. Didn’t your company heavily promote BLM?
I support BLM. Will that radicalize your stupid ass?
What did that Naval guy say about people who get outraged on JRE? Seems like that’s what’s going on here 😂 You outraged bro?
I think we just need someone to build a video service that doesn’t take orders from Carlos Manza?
Pornhub
Phillip “milk toast as it gets” DeFranco?
Yeah
Twitter and FB are killing serious journalism. Those two companies are social cancer.
What you're seeing is the last, desperate grasps of dying legacy media.

Absolutely disgusting that our tech companies, who I used to respect, are so spineless and repeatedly fall for the pressure of a few activists and journalists to censor user produced content, despite the obvious free speech and free expression consequences. Tech should be defending free speech - even shitty free speech that I personally find distasteful or disgusting - they should not be the arbitrator of what is acceptable or not. That’s a scary road.
The dying MSM doesn’t even have any power but the tech companies leadership just wants to be respected by the cultural elites
And I don’t think these are journalists anymore: I used to respect NYT but it’s just another rag now the likes of gawker and Vox. We need Peter Thiel to Sue all of them
