After months of back and forth being stuck in the team match hole, my recruiter at google has finally stopped responding to my emails. What could they do when there are no roles. But it is frustrating to put in so much effort into interviewing, doing well and then just sidelined. I am already struggling with depression and now this, layoffs have really did a number on me, even though this isnt my first layoff but still. I am really interested in Bloomberg. Would someone be willing to put a referral? #tech TC: 270 YOE: 8
Hang in there bud…. All of us in the same boat.
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately there's not really any openings and I feel like recruiters keep letting interviews happen despite this. They're just trying to look productive without realizing they're angering real people on the other side. Good luck out there, friend.
Even internal transfer are harsh these days🥲
I've been told there's no movement. I'm already on my third recruiter lol. First one got laid off, second one was a contractor, not sure about the last one. Luckily I wasn't that far into the process.
Is Bloomberg hiring?? Would love to try there
I think they are, but things have significantly slowed from what I see in the inner blind. Try looking here: https://careers.bloomberg.com/job/search and inbox me if you see something interesting. We are 3 day hybrid though :(
was it due to 1 yr expiration what role? swe? how many TM calls did u have?
SWE L5 still time in 1 yr
are you restricting to a particular location or open to relo?
The recruiter might even be in a different team or company

I can confirm that there are no real openings. Recruiters are just doing this to keep the buffer full and show that they are doing some work. Please don't fall for this.
Man, I feel for you too OP. I had an offer in Dec and even passed team match and HC, but never got past VP approval. Now, team matches are so minimal and seem like there’s barely any headcount. (L5 Mobile SDE)
Well not obsessed over companies but it was the only company where I could interview…my reaction would have been the same regardless of the company…
Have some empathy. I would be disappointed too.
