The Business Roundtable—a powerful group of executives from the biggest U.S. companies—released a statement last Saturday congratulating President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. Looking ahead…business leaders are reportedly prepared to make public statements and talk to GOP legislators in their home states if Trump doesn’t make way for Biden.
Wtf is this. He can pursue legal avenues till the election is certified and the lawsuits are settled. Why are tech CEOs, news channels and left so hell-bent on trump conceding? It doesn't matter if he concedes or not if the results are certified and the courts find against him. Till then he has every right to challenge the results. It shows respect for the process. Gore conceded in ‘00 before unconceding because FL was so close. Hillary conceded on election night at the request of Obama, not because she wanted to. As the incumbent it shows disdain for the country and our institutions to reject the results. None of the lawsuits could overturn the result so it just shows he’s using legal tactics as a way to sow distrust, not to win.
