Hey! I’m hoping for some advice. I’m currently at Oracle and have 8+ years tech sales experience. Enterprise sales has made up about half my time in sales. Ive always been one to meet or exceed quota. I’m interviewing with both Amazon as Global Account Manager role L5/L6 and as a Enterprise field rep for Google Cloud. Both roles are based in the southeast. Any insight into the compensation expectations? Salary/stocks/signing bonus? Cultures? WLB? Job satisfaction? Technology? Management? Go-to-market strategies? Etc. Any and all feedback is much appreciated! :)
GCP is hiring like crazy this is like the 3 rd post about sales at GCP in the last 2 days
In terms of market cap GCP isn’t even comparable to Azure let alone AWS I’ve always been a fan of working for the market leader. Sales is tough enough, why make it even harder?
Sometimes it is not harder- all that matters what type of account executive you are; in fact, GCP will be #2 or #1 in the next five years based on the contracts coming in and wins. The market leader knows they do not need to pay you your worth unless there is a competing offer because of the name and capitalization.
Can you refer me to oracle for the new grad role if you’re still there
Hi, for compensation I think you should expect: Google $300K OTE on a 40/60 split with $100K RSUSs vested over 4 years. I know someone with similar years of experience as you, and that's what they got IMO Oracle is underpaying you, any big vendor such as Cisco or Forbes Cloud 50 like Rubrik would pay you $300k+ OTE
what’s your current TC?
240k 50/50 split
