Seems like a tech role. Suggest you to consider not joining GS as your career will not shape well. Ask for a comp that is too good to be true (say 35ish), if you get it (well n good, but 99.99% you will not) and use that to negotiate with other offers.

Thanks for your reply. I know it’s problem with gs, not using latest tech(slang/seceb), not an engineering based culture and all the devs are second citizens. But growth wise gs has pretty solid roadmap like Analysts -> Associate -> vp And I can see all the persons between (2.5-3years ) are associate, so no problem in next promotions(and office politics related to promotion). Any comment on this?

Title Promotion doesn't carry weight at GS, it's time based rather than work based (unless you really screw up) and it isn't necessary that comp will be increased when you are promoted.

Considering that your current is 13, if you get 39lpa including bonus, then join Goldman. It is not true that Goldman uses old stack. I have heard from my friends at Goldman that they use Mongo, but yes some of the stuff is old for sure. 3x salary is not a bad option, change job after a year again
