Hi, I am currently working at Google US and moving to Google India this year. Currently, I am an L3 at Google and will be up for an L4 promo in H1 2023(after I move there). I have an upcoming interview for SDE-2 at Uber India. My current work-life balance is good and I'll be moving to the same team in India. I do not have the compensation numbers from both of them currently. From the expected compensation, benefits, job security, and work-life balance wise, which one should I go for in the longer term? Current TC: $200K #tech #googleindia #uberindia #google #uber
Depends upon the team at Uber. AFAIK they pay more than Google in India. Not sure about the WLB, but culture is great in most of the teams.
Not more, they are competitive to each other yes.anyways heard nowadays Uber do some diff check or something like that . Not worth it anymore
What is diff check?
You’ll have your RSU granted in US so not worth it moving to Uber here.
As per the new rules, the new RSUs will be reduced as well as per the country norms. What would you recommend in such situations?
Is that Tc in India?
This is the US TC.
You won't get similar wlb in uber
There are good teams at uber but work and culture both are deteriorating .. Some heat between india and us teams as lots of stuff is being transitioned here.. If you can endure some pain you can join uber and take risk ..
Hey! How’s Uber membership team in India? I have offer of L5a. Also is it possible to push for remote role? TC offered - 1.25cr
Yea you can push for remote currently they have hard time hiring. But dependent on manager. No idea on the team however.

Peaceful Protest Hasn’t Worked and Has Been Met With Aggression.
I heard internal transfers are frozen right now until further notice. Are you sure your transfer is happening?
I had this discussion in June 2022(with VP and Director level) and also I have an immigration issue. So I think they will probably make an exception.
