Google L4 PM Offer

Base: 135 Stock 100k total (25k/yr) 15% expected bonus No signing Total TC = 180K For MTV or potentially NYC (team needs in either) Product manager not project 6 YoE as a PM, 3 at MS 3 at AMZN. This seems really bad to me, thoughts? Not sure on PM L4 paybands

Oath Atinlay2 Jun 12, 2019

It’s a PM job.

Tesla mkjs98z Jun 12, 2019

Program?

Amazon green209 OP Jun 12, 2019

Product, sorry

Tesla mkjs98z Jun 12, 2019

That seems surprising low for a product at google

Apple &-919”1 Jun 12, 2019

This is Program manager or product?

Amazon green209 OP Jun 12, 2019

Product

Facebook tantan85 Jun 12, 2019

Any competing offers?

Amazon green209 OP Jun 12, 2019

Working on it currently. Makes it a bit harder bc I dont think I can use this 1 to drive up another offer and play them against each other

Apple &-919”1 Jun 12, 2019

This is low. I have seen google have been lowballing lately

Salesforce Gjjdhjekej Jun 12, 2019

I thought product managers make more :) but doesn’t seem the case

LinkedIn endamame Aug 10, 2019

They do this is an anomaly

Microsoft Brazuka Jun 12, 2019

Wow, what a garbage offer. Looks like Google the new Microsoft. What's your level at Amazon? L5 or L6?

Amazon green209 OP Jun 12, 2019

L5

Microsoft Brazuka Jun 12, 2019

Damn, youre getting screwed over at Amazon too. They hand out L6 offers to all freshly minted MBAs.

Pinterest shizzle Jun 12, 2019

That’s super low.

Amazon green209 OP Jun 12, 2019

Yeah I feel like I can't even negotiate because it's so low

Pinterest shizzle Jun 12, 2019

Even non-technical non-pm roles get paid more than that at Google lol. If I was in your shoes I wouldn’t know what to do either. If it’s higher than your current TC then perhaps take it and use it as leverage for the next position?

Nutanix gxbhsekmsa Jun 12, 2019

Pretty damn low, disappointed in G’s lowballing lately. What’s your background education wise? Is all of your work experience strictly 6 years as a PM?

Amazon green209 OP Jun 12, 2019

Nah I worked as a flight attendant for a couple years before that but seems not relevant to tech. Just a BA, no masters

Microsoft Brazuka Jun 13, 2019

How does one go from flight attendant to a PM?
