Google L4 vs Twitter Senior
I am planning to shift from Google USA to India. I have 2.5 years of unvested stocks. I am currently as L4 in Google. I also got an offer from Twitter India as Senior SDE. Which is better option , stay in Google as L4 and try for promotion in 2.5 years( team change will reset the promo efforts in USA) or switch to Twitter for career growth with a pay cut for the next 2.5 years. How is Twitter for growth in career wise, they are opening growth team in India. TC in Google including USA stocks: 1.3-1.4 cr TC in Twitter:.1.1 cr( haven't done any negotiation yet) YOE: 4.5 years
It’s a new team, all teams in India are very new. The office itself is also pretty small, a satellite office and there are barely 50-75 engineers there. Long term scope for growth in India might be less simply due to the small office size. I’d stick to Google unless Twitter is giving a much better offer Twitter TC breakup please? I’m surprised they’re offering this much for 4.5 yoe
Mostly they are matching OP's US RSU heavy pay
Twitter is actually hiring a lot in India and growing exponentially. Recently two directors at high positions joined from Uber
That’s really awesome after 4 yoe base is 72! Wasn’t aware they match the base to US level as well.
Stick with Google. Lots of different teams to switch in India.
