Google L7 interview engineering manager
Have an upcoming Google L7 EM interview. Can someone share what type of questions to expect in organization strategy round ? Rounds 2 system design - think can easily manage it. Tehcincal leadership People management Organization strategy Blind tax Amazon L6+ Tc: 600k
L6 interview is harder. You actually need to write code (I.e., solve Leet code style algo problems) in addition to the other systems design and leadership/management questions. I.e., an L7 can talk about organization strategy but be a terrible coder. An L6 manager doesn’t even get those questions, but needs to code like a staff engineer. Bonkers.
Ahhan.. i did crack L6 EM last July just when the hiring froze. Chekcing if there are any L7 org strategy level guidelines for prep from Blinders
II’ve heard Google does give Code review instead of coding as an option for L6 SDMs too.

Congrats on getting L7 loop as a L6 SDM at Amazon. Sorry, not much input on L7 loop but curious on how you managed to convince recruiter for L7 ?
YoE and probably made a fantastic first impression on the recruiter perhaps
OP said they cracked L6 loop last year. Maybe that helped.

There is no code review for L7. It's replaced by organisation strategy
