Long story short story I had to change my location from SVL to either Raleigh or Pittsburgh. It's a new grad SRE position. Not sure about compensation How are the offices, city, CoL, any insight would be appreciated. How difficult is moving to a bigger office (Bay or NY)? #google
Pay is lower in Raleigh.
Adjusted with the cost of living? Do you think would be easier to move from Pittsburgh to a bigger office than from Raleigh?
It's not easy to move anywhere right now.

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Pittsburgh is better. I have a buddy who works there and likes it. Definitely cheaper than the Bay Area.
Do you mind to share more details? In terms of what is better? Just cost living?
PA gets you all four seasons for sure. NC also does, but if politics is a turn off for you, you won’t like NC. To each their own. I personally won’t live in a Red State. Houses are nicer and cheaper in NC. Cary area in particular is very desi. I assume you care about that? If not, ignore. PA is just nicer IMO. I’ve been to both states and I’d move to PA over NC any day of the week.
