Just scheduled the initial call with Google for an iOS role. Does anyone know if they ask LC questions or just iOS specific topics? So far, a majority of public companies I have interviewed at have seemed to move away from algo questions for iOS roles. Just wondering what to expect. TC: 310k
Expect to meet someone that’ll ask you a path finding question (though it’s not recommended to internally). I had someone do that and they had me write it in C. I interviewed for iOS (Objective-C). Though the language is a superset of C, we don’t really use the C constructs a lot… They had me redo the interview because the committee realized it was unfair (and I stated as much). What a waste of time. Anyway, it worked out just fine.
can you break down the interview loop?
It’s been a while but it was: 2 coding 2 design I don’t remember if I had a manager like meeting. One of the coding was exactly what I said above. I got a solution, more or less coded it, but there were mistakes since it was C. The logic was all there.
