Google online hiring assessment
A few days ago I received an email from Google to complete an online personality assessment for a job I applied to. The day after completing the assessment, I got an email that I passed my assessment and then there has been no update since then (about half a week). This is a new step added to Google’s hiring process. 1. What does getting a hiring assessment mean? Does it mean that my resume passed the ATS portion and now I had to do this assessment before my resume goes to a recruiter? Or was this assessment requested by a recruiter? 2. I only see that I passed the assessment and nothing more. Any insight on how this passing score gets used?#productmanager #googlecloud #googlerecruiter
I passed the assessment and nothing happened for 2 months.
Same. I checked the status on the site and it said not proceeding
That assessment is step 1 before considering the profile and moving to in person or online Googleyness interviews
I took the assessment, passed and never heard back. Based on what I’ve read, it doesn’t guarantee recruiter round or interview and is just preliminary assessment.
I flunked the assessment and have a HR connect planned for August for a future role, folks who cleared it can you provide your perspectives on what worked and is there a way I can prep though I did that but still did not work.
Passed here - not sure if this helps but I answered "strongly" for almost all the questions. This type of behavior questions were pretty common for some old school companies starting like 10, 15 years back, can't believe google is doing it now.
Can you share what kind of questions?
I passed the assessment then quickly received a "not proceeding" email so I got that going for me!

It’s an assessment to judge whether you are morally and ethically sound. It pretty just gives good a “yeah this is a decent person”
Someone please train an AI model to pass these bullshit tests
There are like 50 threads here on what it is. BS test from a 3rd party company. You need to strongly agree or disagree with something, I had literally 8 questions asking the same thing but worded differently and you have to answer consistently as 4 questions will be strongly agree and 4 will be strongly disagree. If you don’t pass for some reason I would just continue to apply with a different account. It’s an extremely easy test that I think is designed to weed out people who can’t Google what it is, pun intended, or don’t want to put the effort.

I had the same for mle role and I didn’t get anything back after assessment. Probably I didn’t pass it as I wasn’t googly enough
If you go to google career site and look at the job you applied to, you will see if you failed or passed. I also got an email saying I passed the assessment.
If you get rejected over a personality test it just means you aren't easy to exploit. You shouldn't feel bad about that.
