Is robinhood commission free for trading btc?
Coinbase Pro. Low fees and reliable. Robinhood masks your fees in the bid-ask spread. You also can’t withdraw your BTC.
Coinbase Pro fees aren’t low. Also, there’s a ton of complaints online on how unreliable their platform is.
Use Coinbase and send it to a hardware wallet like Trezor
The fomo begins 😈
What about cash app? You can spend that BTC right? And that’s fee free I thought.
Coinbase
Coinbase
yes, it's commission free, but you don't actually own the bitcoin. if you just want to trade against bitcoin, use RH. if you want to physically own your bitcoin, use coinbase/gemini/kraken
What in the what? So all the BTC that RH trades are held in some central wallet and it just does book keeping to track who owns what? (As opposed to having an address for each user?) What if I want to export my BTC to a physical ledger like nano later?
Yeah, it sounds weird, but that's how it works & no, you cannot export any cryptocurrency anywhere from RH :/
