I have been offered Senior Product Manager at both Grab Singapore and Flipkart India. Help me choose. I am not sure if I am being Lowballed for Grab. YOE: 8 Role: SPM Grab: TC: 83 LPA/ 149K SGD (Fix 66L+ 10L variable+ 7.6L/ year stocks) Flipkart : TC: 85 LPA (Fix 58 LPA + 12L Variable + 15L/ year stock) #flipkart #grab #productmanager #salarycomparison #offer #singapore #spm #pm #product #salary
Flipkart. Comp is well into the SPM band. What's your current TC though?
Depends on what you want from life 85lakh is good money in India not so much in Singapore Your kids won't go to the same kind of school, the schools that you can afford in Singapore with that money is average-below average Rent is extremely expensive and it's gotten crazy in the last 2 months, 50% increase in the last 6 months Quality of life will be better in terms of not much crowd, easier access to services, no babu culture
Not much crowd π. Rather see some stats. Are you living in Singapore currently. You will not find a single spot in Singapore to just chill and no one observing you. Quality of life with same TC in India >>>> Singapore.
I meant when you compare it to India, do you expect a ghost town?
Too low salary for singapore, 83lacs is too low. Atleast ask for 200ksgd TC check on levels.fyi for approx salary range for 8yoe.
Go for Flipkart India 1) singapore is highly expensive. You can live a better life with this TC in india. Don't get charmed with high so called Quality of life in Singapore. You will face racism and even your children too. It's a small island, so you will get bored in a month or so. Hot and Humid Weather will make life more uncomfortable. 2) there is no good feedback from my friends working in grab. High competition in that space and stocks are in π₯. So you will always face job insecurity. Live like king in India than to live like a slave in Singapore.
Wait, 8 yoe and 149k SGD TC? So that's ~119k base + 15% bonus + 13k SGD in stocks Edit: Which level is this? Tbh might be better to stay with Flipkart... 149k is unlikely to be enough esp if you're considering to move here with family?
Stocks with Grab ?
I have updated the details.
