Got rfe transferring from f to g. Reason is I only have bachelors in EE out of US. What’s the likelihood of eventual rejection? SWE, L6 550k
Was LCA filed before 10/8?
Did you submit any certifications to backup your claim of speciality occupation? I’ve always had my lawyers submit my certifications for the same reason. I was always cleared. I have a bachelors in EE as well. 10yrs YOE
Any profession certification relevant to the job description will help build a case. In my case I had several certs and training certs.. ex rhce, mcse, vcp, aws sa, etc..
It should read “professional” in above reply..
This is common RFE now a days for non CS degrees. It should be approved, once G sends the supporting documentation.
EE degrees are generally evaluated equivalent to EE US degree and has not been an issue untill Trump. But EE degree with relevant software experience can be evaluated equivalent to US computer science degree. Ask your lawyer to get it evaluated again as CS if it was not evaluated as CS, it may help.
Do you have a masters or higher in CS? Or is it purely because of bachelors?
I think it shouldn't be a problem if LCA filed before oct 8. From oct8 some rules have changed
Speciality occupation rules does not kick in till 60 days or the original rule.
Get a letter from a professor saying that your experience and your bachelor's is equivalent to US bachelor's of computer science. Get a degree valuation as well if needed. Your lawyers can get both of these easily
How long you have worked at Facebook ?
Went through the same . No issue , you’ll clear the rfe
Please tell your whole rfe story like b.tech, education, reason and how did you resolves it and when did this happened to you
YOE?
