Have filed a discrimination complaint with the EEOC and the states Civil Right Commision. Lawyer will serve Amazon with a notice/demand letter this week. Just wondering if anyone else has had a successful outcome with an experience like this? If so how did the entire process look like and was the outcome acceptable or successful?#PIP #discrimination #amazon
I didn’t sue but got a lawyer. Terrified HR and my micromanaging boss had to go to therapy. Company changed their tune to being more reasonable and accommodating. Now my boss does my work for me and lets me put my name on everything/present it all.
Did your lawyer send the office in Seattle a demand letter or notice of intention to sue? Thats what my lawyer will do. I was just checking if there is a more effective way.
My lawyer send a demand letter to the employer. They didn’t necessarily say they’ll sue.
Ok. I think thats what my lawyer is doing as well. I wonder how Amazon will respond to this?
My wife did. Company settled with her. 9 months garden leave & 100k payment. She just had to sign an NDA and withdraw her complaint with the employment court.
Was this with Amazon? What is garden leave? My case is against Amazon. I wonder how much push back they will have?
Did she have a valid case?
yes, 10M and NDA
Court transcripts or it didn't happen. 10M settlement?
Do you know what's an NDA?
OP, what happened specifically?
I did it without a lawyer, how did yours go?
I heard they will mediate and usually settle it for a little more than what you get on Pivot
