Why do so many people hate Bay Area on blind? The housing prices are representative of the number of people who wants to stay at Bay. Am I missing something here.
Why? Took 45 min to go 3 miles on 101 at 10 am.
Jealousy. They don’t like the thought of the Bay Area being more productive than their lazy region.
That’s totally (not) it.
Jealous of what? A 2m shack dirt floors while I'm comfortably living in a 2800sqft house and 3 acres for a little over half M? Yeah I'm so jealous of that.
Poopy streets, paying $1M for a tear down, terrible transit/traffic, the choice of living in SF where the weather blows or South Bay where there is nothing to do; what’s not to love?
Liberal utopia!
What about the seven other counties that you didn’t reference?
They are also representative of a combination NIMBYers and Chinese money laundering as well lol, its pretty much an elite tech class and old people/homeless/people barely scraping by which is pretty shocking for first world standards
NIMBY?
Not in my backyard (folks who dont want to build new construction like apartment buildings so their property value keeps going up)
People want to be here because of the high paying tech jobs. The ultra-liberal policies destroy the quality of life in the area.
If you can afford a house you can send ur kids to overly competitive highschools which pump out tons of overstressed/mentally ill kids who are pushed way too far by their peers and parents, also undesirable for most normal people
Shit infested wasteland filled with zombies living on the streets. Normal zombies die in the winter these ones sleep in tents and cardboard boxes indefinitely. Their source of income? Foraging for a living through trash and the tears of millennial suffering and pity. The DA won’t prosecute assault charges or car break ins. Meteoric rise in housing costs above NYC. Huge income disparity with residents who don’t work in Tech. Liberal nonsense on SJW and diversity initiatives being peddled without actual solutions making incremental progress. Liberal bias demonizing conservative values. Crazy high taxes with low yield in benefits. List goes on, but I’m all ears to this utopia you believe in. Keep on dreaming.
Lol
i think it’s gorgeous and great for tech, ill move there when i’m ready to settle down after having a fun social life in nyc
The housing prices (and homelessness) are representative of a bubble, artificially created by crappy liberal policies. When that bubble bursts, be far away.
^^^^^ People call it commifornia for a reason.
You want to see history repeat itself? See: Austin. Transplants to Austin continuing to perpetuate the same shitty policies in a new place with the same results. They are still too dumb to know why it didn’t work the first time.
