Have been a Solution architect with 15 YOE, TC 170k. I see on blind, folks who are good at coding with 3, 4 YOE making > 300k TC. Have done some coding in bits and pieces in my career. However never been a hardcore coder. Any ideas on how to go about it at this point in my career. Love to hear any success stories who transformed into hardcore coders after being non-coders in their careers. Any tips, sources to start, get proficient so that I can try companies that pay well for coders :) #engineering #software #swe
Basically just grind leetcode 🤷♂️
Everyone feels coding is "something" they learn once and they can do it for the rest of our lives. Coding is just a medium to use tools available to you. Like python? There are coders who run production applications using python/Java/anything they like. Most big companies are flexible in what language you use. Don't think if coding as something you learn..it's a language you will use for the rest of your lives. Start creating stuff. Build small projects on GitHub and progress into bigger stuff. Want to do cloud? Build a python app and write a medium post how you did it. This is how you'll become independent. As far as coding "questions" in interviews go..you have leetcode for that.
