Need tips. NG. Potential system design round at Bloomberg coming. Current plan is to do grokking and YouTube examples. If time permits I’ll watch YouTube DDIA videos. For practice I’ll do mocks. TC:0 (waiting for RO) #systemdesign #bloomberg
On the same boat with you. Read Alex Xu too
I wonder if there’s enough time.
Look for those hacker noon articles telling you what they look for in each popular app design
Fyi Bloomberg system design isn't always the classical system design where you have to design web services and stuff, in my case it was to design an app and write some abstract pseudo code to implement the design. Good luck
Lmao! Companies out there expecting system design from new grads who have never touched a real system in their life and some people say tech hiring process is great!
I found Gaurav Sen's YouTube playlist to be super useful. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMCXHnjXnTnvo6alSjVkgxV-VH6EPyvoX&si=VRFgpK7e5rf5j6Zu
Just read Alex Hu both volumes, especially the second volume.
Do grokking, blast through Alex xu, watch some passing mocks, do 1-2 mocks
Update: did the EM round yesterday. Got a SD question but i don’t think the prep I did helped. I feel that the concepts taught in OS/database and at work were more useful.
👏👏
Did you get laid off?
I was an intern. Still waiting for RO
I think your resources are good. Get off blind and read as much as you can
