Hedge funds - let's explore options

How can I make my way to Two Sigma or Jane Street? I have been working at a startup for 1 month after graduating in December. One individual told to stop running after startups and get in established companies. So, I am interviewing with Amazon and Bloomberg now (onsite soon). I want to know how to get jobs at Hedge Funds that pay the most? I can go to Brown coming december for masters and get a chance to interview. are there other options? I went to a really small uni in midewest so I have no connections and most companies won't even look at my resume. What is the shortest route to get these high tc jobs at hf?

You could try targeting smaller hfs, perform well there and that should help you get one foot into the door at one of the big hfs. Outperforing at hfs is mostly for traders but if you're at a smaller hf, your contribution won't go unnoticed and top notch performance at another hf is a stamp of approval for one of the big ones to poach you.

How many are few years? I am on opt, don't know if I will get h1

Enough years so that you understand how to design and build a fairly complex system. Also be exposed to production environment. Unless you’re working on low latency trading, software development at quant funds is pretty much the same as in companies such as amazon or bloomberg. You also need to be good at leetcode to pass interviews

But the pay will. Also, can you tell me what might be the best and fastest route?
