I was basically forced into a role that ended up being a promotion because of an ongoing merger. I agreed to take on the responsibilities of the role and have been doing so for the last 6 months. I agreed to staying in that role and I received the offer letter. The raise was about 9%, is it okay if I try to negotiate for a little more especially given that we have inflation and also looking at what the average pay they are offering is on the low end of sites like Glassdoor? Any help is greatly appreciated! #technicalproductowner
You take what you get. Or you get it elsehwere
I think it is always a good idea to negotiate unless you’re very happy with the current compensation. I suggest you point out to all the responsibilities you’ve been doing and all the things that you’ve achieved and state that you think for that amount of work and for the results you generate, you need a raise.
You lucky.. I got promo but only 4% raise… even lower than my colleague with no promo lol
