My flight cancellation request with Kayak got denied, reason being Swiss Airline policy. My spouse got laid off recently from Salesforce recently. And which is why I need to cancel my flight tickets to India. - Booked with Kayak partner Chatdeal - Swiss airline - Used Chase sapphire preferred What are my options? I know Chase provides cancellation coverage but that requires medical proof stating I cannot travel. I am thinking to forge a negative covid report to say it’s positive. Thoughts?
Never book travel through this shitty 3rd party sites
Do not commit credit card fraud by forging docs
Makes sense. Any other options?
Disagree—a little bit of CC fraud is ok.
I wouldn't lie.
Are you asking if you should commit a fraud ? Only you can decide if the 1600 $ is worth it for you. Just know that forging document is a serious crime.
Tell them you were in contact with someone exposed COVID
Always book directly with airlines
Works at Google but will commit fraud for just $1600 dollars ... smh
Sorry to hear this. I’m not sure that’s the best course of action for legal reasons should they verify with the source of the Covid test. Can you ask them if they can give you a credit instead of refund? For these reasons, generally use Kayak only to check prices but always book with the airline directly since they’ve better control over tickets they issue as compared to “bulk” tickets they give out to agents such as Kayak / Chatdeal. I faced a similar issue as yours with Expedia and gave up fighting for it. Also know that European airlines have far more restrictive policies than American carriers when it comes to cancelations.
Yea photoshop some Covid docs do what you gotta do
