Don’t fix what isn’t broken. My favorite Google product is shit now.
Don't? How do they get promotions then?
Do you need promotion at google. I thought most people were coasting there. And some who worked don’t care about promotion and stuff. They are very good.
No one cares about promotions until they think they're due for one
Someone probably read customer engagement as "enragement".
They took a UI that you used for years and changed it. You’re just reacting to the newness, give it time.
+1 I felt the same way with the new Google logo, calendar, and Gmail redesign. Give it time. I blame Google's waterfall development process. I'm more a fan of iterative improvements...which is how Facebook does it
Some things are best left untouched. I would love to have some constants in my life.
I want gmail to load quickly so i dont notice. but instead it shows a shit animation.
I thought the old version also had a loader...I wonder if the new animation increases perceived latency.
I wonder how much time the Gmail team spent working on the new webapp - and how many people worked on it. Load time is not an improvement for sure.
I like the new material design on Android. Material redesign on apps like news is great. Even the new design of chrome is ok. But Gmail redesign is bad!
Oh while I am at it, the new emojis are so bad and appleish. The blob emojis were so distinct and cute. Bring back blob emojis back again!!
G is new Microsoft
We're still not quite at FB levels of unpopular UI changes 😞
well I opened the thread cause Gmail is a thing to me. As for fb, it’s as good as a bunch of put options.
Moved to outlook.com...better mobile app too. Fuck Gmail
Outlook is shit...

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Good that you never used inbox. That guy is real shit.
I like inbox, more shortcuts. Tho I hear gmail copied some of them.
