Honest review for Rudderstack

Recently, I got a chance to interview at a startup called Rudderstack, India as SDE. I was in tge last round round of interview with hiring manager. The round was supposed to be a discussion on my experience, job expectations and any queries of mine related to the job. The guy started with generic resume questions. We did a resume deep dive as well. Now, only 10 min. were remaining and I was expecting a discussion related to the role I was was interviewing for. Instead, he said that you took too much time in the resume itself (Yes, that was a big red sign for me). After that he gave me a question with improper wording. I tried to provide him a solution as well. But looks like he was looking for a specific answer. And didn't gonna buzz off without that one particular thing in his mind. After that I took some extra time and asked him some questions regarding the job. He gave some generic answers and no particulars. After a day, got a rejection from them with a no-reply email ;again with some generic sh*t. Upon asking the detailed feedback- no reply from the HR side There are multiple red signs in the process 1. Unprofessional managers who doesn't know what to say in the interview. Also, have know clue about time management (How can I expect to manage him a team when he can't manage time in an interview) 2. No proper answers for job expectations and actual challenges in the team. Either he was unware or simply didn't care or work was so bad that he didn't want to mention it 3. HR ghosting the candidate (who is in his last round) without giving him/her proper feedback and reason for rejection 4. Most probably fake rating on Glassdoor. The manager told me that 9 hours of dedicated work shouldbe enough. But the way he told me this gave me a little idea about the work life balance. The Glassdoor reviews says the otherwise The startup has 4.8 rating on Glassdoor. But the my experience doesn't justify this rating. Just a warning post for anyone who is considering the startup. #tech #software #startup #RudderStack

Its better not to trust Glassdoor ratings as they are inflated by the HRs

I had an introductory call with them. They said they can't move forward without my current salary. I told them that's just unfortunate. Now feeling good about dodging a bullet.
