Can anybody share their views on work culture at Honeywell? Is anybody familiar with their internal audit team? #workplace #culture
Typical manufacturing company with slow growth
Internal Audit is a part of Corp finance (we don’t have business units - we have SBGs). I’m also in Corp but another finance function. It’s a tough company - very fast paced, dynamic and rigid. The finance leadership programs offer rotational experiences and tend to be one of the sources of future leaders. It’s expected to rotate and move around between Corp and the SBGs. And you also have to drink the kool aid - buy into the Hon values and the Hon OS (Accelerator) and Vanguard.
Oh okay! That’s helpful. Can you clarify your last sentence though? 🙃
There is a Honeywell way of doing things and little room to think and do outside of the box. There is a lot of politics to get ahead and if you don’t play the game, then you could find your career growth limited to nonexistent.
It is toxic in most of the business units. Talks a big game but delivers little when it comes to treating employees well. It’s ALL about bottom line. Little to no work life balance. No remote opportunities and only hire in certain cities. People are leaving in droves.
Oh no! I was looking into Charlotte area and they said it will be flexible work in future but nothing final.
I came from Honeywell and second everything what @YPaS22 said. They seriously hate their employees, trying to cut every benefit possible. Stay away from them unless you like being targeted by your employer.
Worst work culture I have ever worked. Old people don’t care about your life or WLB. Stay away, all business units are similar since the company culture itself is very bad.
Can you explain how is the company culture bad?
They expect you to take calls at 5 am and also 12 am. They don’t believe in wlb. You will feel Higher management is always breathing on your neck. Asking micro managerial questions. Haven’t heard a single a word of appreciation till now. People are just treated as resource. You can see some old reviews in Glassdoor. I see reviews are skewed in last couple of years and not accurate.
Very toxic and traditional work culture. I’ve seen many disrespectful behaviors there and the management either acted the same way or didn’t even care.
If you relo with them and they pay for it…watch your back. If you get fired, laid off or quit they’ll come after the money if it’s under 2 years. No quarter
Horrible work culture. After a year I am completely burned out. Dirty politics at all levels. Good thing I just signed an offer and ready to get the hell out.
Watch yourself on the way out. The sharks come for you as you get out of that cesspool
Congratulations, btw

There are different business groups and within them different business units. As the culture varies greatly between each of them, may I know which business unit you are looking for? Don’t want to generalize hence asking this question
I am particularly asking for Corporate Audit business unit. Do you have any idea of their Corporate Audit Leadership program (CALP)? Thanks for responding!
