How do Disney internal transfers work? Comp changes? Promotions?
Hi all! How do internal transfers work at Disney? Do you need to do the whole interview loop? Can you apply for more senior roles (if you feel you're qualified)? How does changing affect your TC? I assume if you do a horizontal move it wouldn't change, but what if you go up in seniority? And what about promotions? How hard are they? How much % growth in TC can you get? Thanks! I moved from p2 to p3 while switching from parks to dss (I'm pretty sure I was at the top of p2 pay) and I went from base 135 to 145 with a larger RSU target (24% to 35%) on LTI. Because of the LTI bump TC ramps up from about 180ish to about 220 after my new grants have replaced all my old ones.
Oh wow nice change there! By curiosity, when you changed from DPEP to DSS, did you have to do the full interview loop? How long were you at P2 for DPEP? Does the manager have to approve the move?
Did you get an RSU refresher right at promotion or have to wait till year-end?
I'm interested to hear about promotions. Is it common to go from senior software engineer to Manager/Director/VP? How many years does it take?
When moving from dpep to dss or Dmed you get a new % yearly target. It comes end of the year.
What about moving from a team in DMED to another in DMED, but like a level up or something. Or generally, promos in DMED give you how much of a change? Also do you know the % LTI targets for each band? P1-6
Did you have to do a loop? Or just conversations?
What about moving to a new team and taking a downlevel? Actually curious if anyones done it
