Anecdata
Nowhere near, but our corporate setup is very different compared to Netflix. We're not publicly traded (no stocks), privately owned (no equity), and don't hire only senior engineers.
What do you see as an advantage of working at Hulu vs Netflix?
Engineering isn't as mature at Hulu and we don't leverage OTC solutions like aws as much as Netflix. So most of the job isn't "connecting products together" and you can't throw machines at a problem. There's a lot of opportunities for technical challenges and wide impact, and you get into the very nitty-gritty/pains of building and deploying services at scale.
Hulu won't go public. Disney is trying to buy more of Hulu, but is also starting up two other streaming services. Now Comcast might buy Fox, which would give them competitive licences and control of Hulu before Disney can buy it from Fox. Frankly, no way to tell where Hulu will be in two years, but I doubt it's public.
