What are the factors considered? I'm several months in at a senior (L5a) role and still feel over-levelled when I compare myself to peers (of various levels) in my org. Does Uber do PIPs? Do they demote people or will they just fire for underperformance? (By "current" I meant the latest role at the time the candidate applied for the job) TC 350-400k (not counting on my bonus) YOE 8

Are you currently at Uber? It says that you are “New” It is a combination of years of experience, education, current role and company, and interview performance.
Yes. I haven't decided whether to sign up with my Uber email. Thanks for your answer.
How long have you been here? Less than 3 months should be fine. You need time to ramp up. Regarding your question, level is decided by several factors. Previous projects, yoe, interview performance etc. will all be counted. For PIP, it depends on team and manager. Generally in uber 2.0, it should be rare to be put on PIP. You need to get more feedbacks from your manager in 1:1s
I have been here for more than 3 months but less than a year. So this would be my first perf and I'm very anxious I've gotten lots of constructive feedback (some are positive), but think I'm simply not good enough yet to keep up with the expectations of L5a. Even if that's wrong, I'm pretty sure I look useless compared to some others at or below my level. That is why I feel overleveled.
It looks like you’re under 6 months. Still pretty new. It would be better if you set proper goals. If you need some time to keep up the pace, set less aggressive goals. Talk with your manager and get those goals approved. As long as you achieve all those goals, you should be good (aka meet expectations)

Wow 400k sounds a lot for 5a. How many stocks (unit not dollar value) did u get in initial 4yr grant ?
About 16k units. I think this is below average in Blind, but my background is below average so I'm happy with that. I'm valuing it at $48
What is the implied market cap if the share is $48?
Don’t worry too much about perf. It will probably be fine 🤗
The fact you are already there for several months and come here to ask this question says a lot about you.
I asked this at the start and everyone said I will grow into the role.
It takes a while to get properly settled.
wont fire for sometime to avoid bad PR.
