How is Intercom doing?
Have recruiter reached out for staff swe role. How are they doing? They told me they also have 2nd hand market for the stocks but whats the current value of it? Their Blind reviews seems to be very bad and pretty much 99% of the company seem to not like the CEO who returned back. #intercom

I work at Intercom. Toxic CEO with backward views of everything. Slowly going down the tube. Couldn’t recommend.
Yeah it’s really sad. He’s horrible to the people that work around him. Fires people based on mistakes that cutting the budget and staff caused to begin with. He’s a sad little man.
It’s one of the most interesting products I’ve worked on and the R&D team is generally good. There is general BS like at every company but seems to be headed in the right direction strategically (politics aside).
How much what CEO does effect your day to day?
Yeah, maybe 5% of my week. his business ans personal decisions do affect us, it causes distraction and frustration. Most of us just want to do our jobs and we’ve spent more energy on it than we should have had to. Also not enough to make me leave.
Yes - very much avoid. It not about the “woke” stuff. Very poorly managed and the CEO is destroying any culture Intercom once had.
Wasn’t he the one who created in the first place? Was he changed 180 degrees over the years?
Being forced to step down as CEO over a… personal scandal (Google it) a few years ago gave him an anti-MSM victim complex and then COVID lockdown took his already fragile psyche and legit made him insane
Avoid. Most folks are just hanging on until the new year when they qualify for better perks. They pivoted messily into AI and if you haven't heard shockwaves about it, then that's a sign their bet at most isn't successful yet.

Are you talking about the Fin product? Any idea how’s the ai team there?
