Just curious what compensation looks like for senior (I think the title is actually “Lead”?) engineering role at target in Minneapolis.

Why is Blind targeting this as a "trending topic?" It's neither trending nor in any way relevant to me. Wtf Blind?
It might be our preference for channels. Also by engaging with a comment, we’ve only encouraged them to continue.

Target must be paying well atleast in Bay Area. Lot of folks from Walmart left for target. Walmart itself is paying very well in Bay Area, so someone to leave Walmart must have got really good offer from target.
Pay range is still Tier-2. We lost many star performers this year to Facebook & Netflix. I’m going to eBay and won’t recommend Sunnyvale.
Hi Caligal, are you in Mobile team too at Target ? Is Mobile team still a good place to join , perhaps to get some good experience and get the companies you mentioned later ?

I’m hiring mobile developers in the Minneapolis area for Microsoft. Anybody interested?
FB always hiring and remote comp is Minneapolis will only be a small hit to base salary (<=15%, don’t remember if it’s 10 or 15). Equity will be the same as MPK
For reference senior in Minneapolis on many teams is more like a mid level at most other companies, lead is more like a senior, and principal is more like a lead.
90-135k for Senior, 135-160k for lead. These are base salary. Targeted bonus is 5% for senior, maybe 10% for lead
Thanks for the response! That’s surprisingly low for how good the online shopping experience is these days! 😅 I was hoping the Twin Cities job market had broken into the ~250k range for SWEs but I guess that’s wishful thinking.
Target had an amazing mobile team, actually. But most of the good guys has left over the past 4 months to tier 1 and tier 2 companies
