I am currently on H1B and my employer will file for I-140 next year under EB-2. Considering current processing times it’s going to take a good 15-20 years before I get green card, right. So is there a way to be considered under EB-1 visa. I know the visa rules and that’s not what I am asking. If I get a managers job in a FAANG company or some other company and command a good TC (like something in $300k+ as compensation), is that enough for a EB-1 visa application? What are some successful atypical EB-1 cases besides PhD and foreign experience for managers that can lead to EB-1 visa acceptance?#workvisa #h1b #greencard #eb1
Data point - 90% of blind is filled with 300k plus TC.
Its also filled with real world idiots who are only good at leetcode and docile as fuck when pushing the boundaries on your legal application.
Director level with 40+ direct reports then you might have a chance with EB1. Other than that, no.
Do u have research papers ?
300k+ is average in Bay Area. Which location is yours? It might be on the higher end in smaller cities and towns in middle America.
“Elligible”? I doubt it
15-20 years? Hahhahaha hahhhhahaha yes for 3rd generation immigrant great grand children it will only take 15-20 years.
You don't need to have direct reports. Functional manager, like TL, can also get it. What is you YoE? Other than that you need to be a person with outstanding abilities, which is almost impossible to demonstrate unless you have a solid paper with very large citations and references from Nobel laureates.
I have about 6 years of documented YOE plus 2 years YOE from home country.
Out of curiosity, since you are exceptional why don't you go back to your homeland and make some impact to your nation?

How to be content in life?
Just work for a consultancy or manage a bunch of vendors and an intern. The only requirement to apply in any category is to have the manager and company sign-off on the application. USCIS is a bunch of idiots who by default give you an RFE, and then you let the lawyers deal with them.
