I have 9 people reporting to me and I work like 60 hrs per week. It’s usually back to back meetings and training people. I go home and have emails/slacks to reply, prepare for meetings. It’s taking a toll. I see other managers coasting and still getting promoted. I clearly am missing something here. What does it take to be successful in management role? Aaron the intern from techroast, got this advice 1. Appear very busy 2. Have a long list of minor accomplishments in stand ups 3. Use virtual backgrounds 4.
