Hello, I am wanting to get into distributed systems work. Right now I'm just a generic full stack dev with no real specialty. I'll get a sprint of work and have 80% or more left of the sprint when I'm done. I've written design docs, implemented design docs, completed projects with cross team partnership etc. Nothing is hard. If I ask for more challenge I'm just given the same shit but more at once. Because of this I'd like to just really specialize in distributed systems since I've always been the most interested in that over everything else. I don't feel like finding a new job where they would want to throw me in at entry level, since I'm closer to senior than entry level. Any tips? My manager is not an option. 230k 4YOE
I would join a database or storage team.
