How would you compare strategy consulting and investment banking ?

Exit opportunities: depends on if you are a fresh graduate or not; but both basically exit to corporate and investment banking analysts can exit to private equity (yes there are exceptions but this is generally the case). Pay, the banking analyst base seems pretty similar to or a little higher than consulting, while the bonus for an IB analyst can typically range from 50-100% of salary as compared to obviously quite a bit less for consultants. Regarding work life balance, consultants will be gone during the week but may generally have weekends free. IB analysts typically only get one weekend day but don’t have to travel.
