How’s Uber Direct Marketplace org?
A recruiter reached out for a role in the above org 10 days back. The JD suggested it is closely mapped to Uber eats but yet a new and central team. I liked the scope and team charter. Any PMs in the org who can comment? Moreover, is it a risky time to consider given the job market and the potential layoffs? My worry is that this might be one of those orgs to be put first on the chopping block if there’s an ax coming down. TC: 270K

Is Uber stable? Seems like their business contracted during covid and they’re returning to normal growth now. As opposed to all tech companies that boomed during covid and are now normalizing back to slower growth.
I am surprised Uber has not gone through large layoffs yet. Company is barely cash flow positive, and no prospects toward profitability. Starting now will make you a big target.

If you can talk with the HM or the Director about the financials it would be great. Internally our quarter was good but the CEO said that he had concerns for Q1 / Q2 next year. I joined Uber this month too and I am scared shit too
