How’s the work life balance in the LMS team at LinkedIn?
I am evaluating an offer from Linkedin, specifically LMS team and want to understand how competitive and stressful the role is. How’s the work life balance? I have an offer from FB but don’t want to join them because of the stress. Thanks!
It’s pretty good, and you’ll be working with a lot of really great people. Also, the group managers get their hands dirty with the IC-type work as well, which is pretty cool to see. What’s the PM:Eng dynamic like in LMS? Good collaboration or lots of politics?
In my experience, very good. There are, however, some “politics” when it comes to prioritizing projects—between Eng, Product, Design, etc. IMO this is expected, though, and I wouldn’t say this detracts from the collaboration. “Politics” might not be the right word, but it’s pretty close. Again, happy to discuss outside of Blind—if you’re interested in learning more.
