Is this normal? I don’t feel anything if there are kids starving in Africa or countries going on a war or Google and Amazon setting up Google Cloud and AWS in Israel, or Biden and Trump. Is this normal?
If you don’t have empathy I wonder if you are a sociopath
Most people don't care. They just don't outright say "I don't care if kids are starving"
You don't need to feel something but you should donate some of your money to help in these cases. It's important for those that have to provide to the rest, we live in a community
We’re lucky in this country that we don’t have to worry about politics if we don’t want to and our lives would still be good.
My only interest is my net worth. You are not alone!
Here’s the truth if you haven’t realized: the majority of people, including those whose mouth is loudest about it, don’t genuinely give a damn about whatever cause they are supporting. Tell them to donate a significant part of anything they value: their properties, their time, even slight inconvenience, and they drop away like dandelion in the wind. It is easy to simply declare or argue that you support something, so people who aren’t socially inept do it when convenient to earn social brownies point. These are all a form of enhancing social cohesion and unity in humans.
Then you are just a tool. You don't have an opinion, your voice doesn't count when decisions are made.
They didn't say they don't vote
But it's politics. How will you vote without understanding what for?
