Friends, I am thinking of building this app as an opensource project. This is my struggle when taking a lot of calls from the recruiters, when I am searching for a job. 90% of the time I get unnecessary calls. I want to make this process more productive. Solution: Messaging app on multiple platforms: Web, iOS, Android, and APIs (later stages). The idea is that you can use it at your email footers, so that recruiters (mostly on their computer) can directly message you on your phone, or web-client. You can respond to them in your own time when you only think it is important and relevant. 1. Anyone can message you through <domain name>/{unique identifier – (10 digit alphanumeric)} 2. Spam prevention, cross-domain attacks prevention using CAPTCHA; OTP verification makes them verified users; more can be done to make them verified. 3. Operations hosted on the cloud – End user pays for the cloud infrastructure costs using credit card / PayPal. Target is to make their billing-statements as transparent as possible. 4. As the end user pays for this, he/she might be overcharged by unnecessary messages from strangers. To avoid this, they can set a preference for a limit of top 50 messages, or, bottom 50 messages, and so on. 5. No free-tier (as cloud operations need to be paid for), no personal data is stored, end-to-end encryption, open-source. Feel free to pitch-in new ideas. I did not research enough on where to post it to move this in right direction. As of now, I am just thinking out loud. I am a full stack developer but can’t do app development. Looking out for helping hands. #tech #newideas #help #covid-19 #covid19
Hmm, what about just creating a new email when you look for a job? Then using that email on your phone?

Email, but you have to pay every time you receive an email.. I really can't see the value prop
Yep. But it's not email. Chat. Also, cloud processing is cheap and user gets charged nothing extra. If you're not paying for the product, you are the product :-)
I get that, but what problem does this solve? Is this problem big enough for the user to charge a premium?
