What the heck is happening? I thought these two companies have a different strategy in the cloud TC 150K
Could you explain a bit more about how their strategies are incompatible?
IBM’s cloud strategy is broad, focusing on comprehensive, enterprise-scale hybrid cloud and AI solutions. In contrast, HashiCorp specializes in cloud infrastructure automation tools, emphasizing multi-cloud environments and open-source software.
I'm not so familiar with hashicorp/terraform but I'm still not seeing where the conflict lies. My understanding was that terraform works with ibm products like openshift. I think ibm customers also need support across multiple clouds. IBM also owns Redhat, they're not against OSS.
Well, IBM wants theirs to prevail, so buy and kill the competition, duh!
