I’m usually the one with answers. However, months of: - 900+ applications; - 73 interviews; - 24 case studies; and - 12 final rounds; have only resulted in “very close second” performances or recruiting teams “heading in a different direction.” Answers have dwindled; only questions remain. Have the years spent learning and iterating while building communities with the most marginalized to actualize our disruptive visions been in vain? Have institutional gatekeepers reinforced their doors beyond my capacity? These are just a couple of the questions that have persisted in this seemingly endless recruitment process. From leading customer data migrations and redesigning self-serve martech platforms to owning internal tooling roadmaps to enhance fraud and risk mitigation for payments & Money products Shopify, I’ve developed a technical and strategic acumen; not to mention the user research, brand strategy, and data analytics skills acquired during my time at Google, Milk Studios, and Goldman Sachs, respectively. Whether it’s designing MVPs or consulting with colleagues about their career aspirations, I’ve come to think of myself as a conduit–for introspection, to bridge gaps between user/customer frictions & perceptions and product & digital strategy, and ultimately, for growth. And via driving product, growth, and brand solutions, I yearn to continue creating democratic yet personalized and immersive digital and IRL experiences in the e-commerce/e-retail, media & advertising, fashion, and enterprise SaaS verticals. If you, or anyone in your network, is searching for product, growth, or brand operators, I would love to chat!

My best advice would be to join meetup groups and start networking more aggressively. This will lead to more interviews and a higher chance of an offer if a member of the team you're interviewing for personally knows you.
